XLamp XR LEDs are the pillar of Cree’s
XLamp LED lamp product family. XLamp LEDs
are dual-current-rated devices, meaning
the same part can be driven at 350 mA
(equivalent to 1 W), or up to 700 mA (equivalent
to 3 W) if more light output is needed.

This distinctive element comprises
a built-in zener diode which can
withstand ESD voltage up to 5000V
providing superior protection against
ESD (ElectroStatic Discharge) damages
at the production line. Kingbright
Ultra-Thin Blue SMD LEDs extend
significant advantages for backlighting,
indicators, and membrane applications
due to its extreme lightweight and
ultra-thin design (2.0m x 1.25mm
x 0.4mm) with wide viewing angle
of 110°, making handheld devices
and consumer electronics lighter,

OPTEK DEVELOPS
0.5W LED PACKAGE FOR SINGLE AND
ARRAY APPLICATIONS
Providing lighting design engineers
with an energy efficient, high luminance,
compact solid-state light source,
TT electronics OPTEK Technology
has developed a 0.5W surface mount
white LED package. Designated the
OVS5WBCR4 Series, the device features
an ultra-low profile of just 1.5mm.

Come In Small Packages!
Lumex’s latest addition to their family of high
power products delivers maximum light from the
smallest possible footprint. At only 1.8mm in
height, Lumex’s new 1-Watt LuxLED™ emits a brilliant
light with a 30 lm @ If=350mA. In addition,
the LuxLED™ can also provide at least 50,000+
hours of useable life. This powerful, new 1-Watt
LED comes in a variety of colors including red,
yellow, green, blue, as well as several shades
of white. Lumex’s LuxLED™ is well suited for
a variety of high brightness lighting applications
and industries, including automotive, architectural,
emergency lighting, traffic lighting and signage.
Lumex introduces
Ceramic-Substrate Surface-Mount LEDs
Lumex is introducing its KoolBrite family of surface-mount
LEDs. These devices have been specifically engineered
to meet the toughest thermal dissipating demands.
They utilize Lumex's specially-formulated ceramic
substrate material, a unique epoxy lens, and a
manufacturing process that can cast the lens directly
onto the ceramic substrate. The result is a family
of surface-mount LEDs capable of withstanding
even old-fashioned wave soldering, while providing
a useable operating life of 50,000+ hours with
no loss in light output levels. KoolBrite LEDs
virtually eliminate failures due to thermal junction
deterioration. |
