1W LED PACKAGE WITH LONGER LEADS FOR IMPROVED
STABILITY ON PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS
Providing lighting design engineers with a new
package option for their high brightness surface
mount 1-watt LED, TT electronics OPTEK Technology
has developed a 1W surface mount LED package
with longer leads than its original OVTL01LGA
Lednium device. The surface mount LED package
offers high luminance, a full 140° viewing angle,
features water clear lenses, and is available
in amber, blue, green, red, cool white (7000K)
and daylight white (5500K). The device is ideal
for a wide variety of solid-state lighting applications,
including automotive interior and exterior lighting,
architectural lighting, electronic signs and
displays.
The Optek OVTL09LG3x
10W Lednium series offers significant advantages
over its predecessor
Thermal resistance has been greatly reduced
from 5°C/W to 2.5°C/W (junction to board). Package
size has been reduced while keeping the footprint
the same. Available in amber, blue, green, red,
cool white, daylight white, warm white and multicoloured
options, each LED offers a wide 120° viewing
