Versatile LED Module
Strips For Signage & Channel-Letter Apps
CARROLLTON, TX (Nov. 2008) -- Providing solid state lighting
design engineers with a flexible and scalable lighting solution, TT
electronics OPTEK Technology has developed a series of LED
module strips for signage and channel-letter applications.
Available in red,
amber, green, blue and white, the LED strips provide fast response times
and low power consumption, resulting in low power requirements from
circuit power supplies.

that is longer than traditional fluorescent and incandescent light

Optek’s Power Line Design Kit Provides Flexible, Scalable LEDS
LAS VEGAS, NV (2008) — Providing design engineers with
a complete solid state lighting solution, TT
electronics OPTEK Technology has developed the Power
Line design kit. Designated the OVPL5W3K Series, the
kit includes FR4 PC boards populated with three
0.5-watt white LEDs, along with a wire harness with
connector, and a hand insertion tool. “As a flexible and
scalable lighting solution providing high luminous
flux with no additional heatsink requirements, the kit
enables lighting designers to configure LED placement
for uniform illumination in any lighting application,”
said Alan Bennett, vice president of salesand
marketing. Typical applications for the Power Line
include architectural accent lighting, undercounter
lighting, media illumination, large channel-letter
lighting, light box backlighting and point-of-sale
displays. |

attended and shared information with suppliers at the 2008 LightFair International Lighting show. The Fair is popularly known
as the world’s largest, annual, architectural and
commercial-lighting trade-show conference. The 2008 edition of
LIGHTFAIR International hosted more than 19,800 architectural,
engineering, design and end user professionals from around the
world.
