High-Density Power Components and PCBs
AVX Kyocera Connector
series 5846, 5802, 6288 are especially suited for LCD
Applications, where high reliability and a secure
connection are required. These low-profile
board-to-board connectors feature a small form factor
of 3.0mm stacking height with a 0.4mm pitch contact.
Designated the 5846 Series, the connectors provide
increased board space for high-density power
components placed between PCBs. The rugged
board-to-board connectors are constructed in a pinched
contact structure and feature a fully insulated bottom
plate that protects the contacts, making the device
highly resistant to vibration, drop shock, and
short-circuits in respect to printed tracks on the
PCB.

Apem's Power-Rocker
Switches & Indicators
After the introduction
of the KR rocker switches and the KL locking rocker
switches, APEM is pleased to announce the release of
the KI series LED indicators.
The design of this
series matches the state-of-the-art appearance of the
KR, based on curved lines. APEM offers a wide choice
of 8 bezel colours, 3 different terminal types and 5
LED colours. For right in the sun applications, a
superbright LED option is available.
The laser etching
process allows high definition marking with an
infinite number of symbols. Each product includes one
or two symbols.
The KI series can be
used in all the stylish dashboards where the KR is
present. This new series is featured in the new 36
pages K-range catalogue, together with the KR, KL, KG
rocker series and their common accessories (mounting
panels, removing tool, connectors and hole plugs). A
selection of 120 different symbols are also shown at
the end of this catalogue.
The K range is mainly
intended for applications in the control panels of
buses, boats, agricultural machines and construction
vehicles. With the introduction of the KI LED
indicators, APEM strengthens its portfolio of products
dedicated to civil vehicles.

Rectifier Series

small MBS-1 package

Amp Schottky Bridge Rectifier Series. The devices are
ideal for both first and
second generation
Power over Ethernet (PoE) designs, as well as general
purpose full wave
rectification and reverse polarity protection
applications.
With a low VF at 1
Amp, these devices are well suited for portable
battery and
high efficiency
applications such as: modems, routers, portable test
equipment, and LED lighting systems.
The two main advantages of these new Schottky Bridges
are reduced size and
energy efficiency. The
MBS-1 utilizes 50% less board space than 4 individual
SMA rectifiers in a
bridge configuration. For example, In terms of energy
efficiency, the MB110S
uses about 30% less energy to perform the same
function as a standard
bridge rectifier.
