Optek's New High-Power LED Beams 90 Lumens
CARROLLTON, TX (December 4, 2008):
Optek Technology announces the introduction of
a new, high-power surface-mount (visible white) LED. The new
OVSPW1BCR4 series measures in at 6 X 6 mm, and offers a 120
degree viewing angle. The power output is 20% higher than the
former OVSPWBCR4 series (90 vs. 75lm Typ). The full data sheet

Lumex Launches Innovative 3-Watt Astraled™ RGB Led

This new,
leading-edge technology provides ultra-bright, full-color
output in a 3-Watt high power package. Lumex's AstraLED
RGB can deliver light intensity of 8/25/20 lumens at 300mA
(red), 350mA (green), 350mA (blue) of current, with an
operating temperature of -30ºC ~ +85ºC. The introduction
of the AstraLED™ RGB is an innovative highpower LED that

SMD LED's vibrant and compact package with wide viewing angle

providing great heat dissipating capability.
The distinctive element encompasses a built-in zener diode

OPTEK Releases "Optimal IV" (Four Die COS : Chip On
Substrate)
CARROLLTON,
TX (December 16, 2008):
OPTEK officially announces the launch
of the OV4 series. OPTEK's Optimal IV series features
four individually addressable LED dies in one star-shaped
package. Utilizing "Chip On Substrate" (COS) technology, the
Optimal IV offers an impressive thermal resistance of 1.8o
C/Watt. The power dissipation is 4 Watts @ 350mA. In
addition, proper heat sinking allows a drive current of 700 mA
for greater light output. The Optimal IV is available in RGBA
(Red, Blue, Green, Amber) as well as mono-color red, blue,
green, amber and three (3) color temperatures of white.
Optimal IV's popular Star substrate allows for easy design
