APEC's High Performance MOSFETS in SDPAKTM:
Split Tab "TO-252" D-PA
Advanced Power's
expanding family of high performance power MOSFETs
now includes a range of parts in the new SDPAKTM package.
The TO-252 package comes with a split tab that
provides separate drain connections to the two
MOSFETS in the package.
 This
allows them to be used independently, for example in
synchronous buck converters. The initial products
have a Vds rating of 30V and 40V, offering low
Figure of Merit with on-resistance down to 6.2 mohms.
The TO-252 package is widely preferred for all
commercial-industrial SMT applications and suited
for AC/DC converters.
These products are all RoHS-compliant and
halogen-free (HF) in compliance with today's "Green
Products" requirements. Advanced Power MOSFETs from
APEC provide the designer with the best combination
of fast switching, rugged device design, low
on-resistance and cost effectiveness.

E-Switch's Latest Power Rocker Switch Offers Full
Illumination Options

series illuminated round power rocker switch. The RRA
series power rocker switch has a PVC cap for water
protection and full illumination options. It has high
power ratings with UL approvals. Specifications

Aimtec's Ultra miniature, cost effective, 1 watt DC/DC
 Aimtec
expands its 1 watt product offering with the addition
of two new series featuring continuous output short
circuit protection - a critical safety feature that
protects the load circuit and the converter from
dangerously high current levels.
Offered in a choice of ultra miniature packages,
Aimtec's
AM1DR-RZ (SIP7: 19.50 x 7.20 x 9.50mm) and AM1MR-Z
(DIP14: 20.30 x 10.16 x 6.90mm) operate at the most
commonly designed fixed inputs of 5, 12, and 24VDC
(with ±10% tolerance).
Highly regulated and protected output voltages 3.3, 5,
7.2, 9.12, 15VDC feature a tight load regulation of
±0.5% to ensure that stable voltages are delivered
throughout the operating range, under all types
loading conditions.
Each of the 18 models in the AM1DR-RZ and AM1MR-Z
series feature input/output isolation of 1000VDC,
allowing these versatile power supplies to be
configured for reverse polarity on the output or to be
wired in series to create higher output voltages.
Operating within an industrial temperature of -40°C to
+85°C without derating, both the AM1DR-RZ and AM1MR-Z
series are engineered to meet the IEC 60950-1 standard
for use with indoor or outdoor telecommunication
networks or cable distribution systems. The
components MTBF of greater than 1,500,000 hours
further supports their use in applications where
access for maintenance is limited or restricted.
RoHS compliant, all models undergo 100% production
testing of their parameters to ensure the high
reliability that is associated with the Aimtec brand,
while remaining competitively priced.

Stackpole Electronics Develops Low-Profile,
Sulfur-Resistant Resistor Chips for Computer
Peripherals
 RALEIGH,
NC - Providing high accuracy with a low standard TCR
(temperature coefficient of resistance) in a low
profile chip, Stackpole's RNCP Series thin film
resistors are a low-cost alternative to high-power
thick film resistive technology. Impervious to
sulfur contamination, the RNCP Series provides
highly stable and accurate performance
characteristics, making it ideal for use in computer
and computer accessory applications. A truly green
component, the RNCP Series is RoHS-compliant without
exemptions, as it does not contain any
lead-containing glass. In addition, the elimination
of silver and gold, which are used in traditional
sulfur resistant application requirements, reduces
the overall cost of the resistor.
The RNCP Series resistors were developed with a high
tolerance for harsh environments, including shock,
vibration and temperature extremes with the goal of
enhancing their performance and lifespan. The thin
film technology provides high power handling,
stability and low noise, giving them ideal
characteristics for use in notebook computers,
printers, scanners and test instruments.
"In recent years, consumer electronics have trended
toward more 'green' products, increasing the demand
for components with reduced package size and higher
energy performance," said Kory Schroeder, Director
of Marketing at Stackpole. "With the development of
these new thin film resistors, we are able to meet
customer requirements for a smaller chip size and
yet keep the cost within 10 percent of comparable
thick film chips."
Featuring absolute tolerances to 1% and a TCR of
100ppm/°C, the RNCP Series resistors are available
in 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206 chip sizes, with power
ratings from 0.1W to 0.5W and maximum working
voltages from 50V to 200V.
The RNCP Series is available on standard 7-inch
reels. Pricing varies with chip size, tolerance,
and resistance value.

EPT's New MicroTCA® Power Input Connector Product
Group
 EPT
is extending its current product range in the area of
power connectors for MicroTCA® with the MicroTCA®
power input connector product group. The new product
group comprises the models 7W2 and 9W4. These
connectors were designed for use in 48V/60V and 24V
systems. The current-carrying capacity is 24A/pin for
the 7W2 and 40A/pin for the 9W4. The connectors are
available as single-port or dual-port models.
They are supplemented with connectors 5W5 and 15W5,
which are intended for power supplies in industrial
applications, in the planed "Rugged MictroTCA™"
specification. These two connectors have been designed
for 12V of supply voltage and a maximum
current-carrying capacity of 40A.
The MicroTCA™ power input product group is offered
with soldering technology and the connectors are
available customer specific assembled as well.
